/I Page 1 of 5 <br /> `gC ) 1810-003 <br /> tih'U(:TUtal 1)CS1-ril :\11()(I:1Tcs <br /> bil.inCei.iJ g.S/lrurnn•c.+rn 1 t1.V <br /> Sept.24'",2019 coVj <br /> N <br /> ♦oaf w �C <br /> Attn:Robert Carev 2 <br /> Subject:Framing Inspection <br /> Subject Address:3618 Colby Ave.Everett,WA <br /> SDA Ref 4 8246C rt3 3 <br /> To whom this may concern: AL <br /> SEP 2 3 2019 <br /> At the request of Robert Carey this office re-visited the subject site September 23,2019 at 8:30AM to <br /> provide a framing inspection.A visual inspection of the framing and retrofit work was conducted. <br /> A barrier has been installed at the Colbv Ave.entrance to prevent vehicular access on the warehouse roof. <br /> New studs are installed at each joist.New bearing walls are installed at joist splices.The walls are <br /> sheathed with 15/32"plywood.Various areas between the joists are shored.In various location the joists <br /> are replaced with a 2-ply 2x12 DF2 built-up beam. <br /> The site conditions are in conformance with the site visit report dated May 30'",2019.site visit report <br /> dated Sept.7,2018;and the drawing titled"Warehouse Retrofit".dated Oct.9.2018.These conditions <br /> are not adequate for vehicle traffic or parking. <br /> Vehicle parking may be allowed on the roof if the following are verified/completed: <br /> 1) Parking shall be limited to the cast end ofthe roof structure.A permanent barrier shall be erected <br /> 6'east of the eau roof drain to prevent vehicle access on the west end of the roof. <br /> 2) The center span ofeaeh joist above the parking area shall be supported with a bearing stud wall <br /> similar to the new bearing stud walls used to support the roof structure provided on the <br /> "Warehouse Retrofit"drawing.dated Oct.9.2019. <br /> 3) Parking shall be limited to vehicles with a maximum capacity of 9 passengers. <br /> 4) The roof parking surface shall be protected with 7/8"A36 thick steel plates.Thc steel plates shall <br /> be protected against corrosion and treated to prevent wear. <br /> 5) Plans for the new parking surface with the structural upgrades shall be issued to this office for <br /> review and approval prior to proceeding with these requirements. <br /> Anv deviations from the conditions described above shall be reported to the engineer.Please contact this <br /> office if you have any questions concerning this letter. <br /> Respectfully, <br /> Jasper Baarbe.E.I.T.
