Original compensation was $230,774.76. Due to an
increase in scope, the budget will be increased by $274,876.00, for a total revised
compensation of $505,650.76. Source of funds for this Amendment will be 401 – Water
& Sewer Utility Fund.
Project summary statement:
In 2024 Brown and Caldwell (B&C) assessed how data collection is used to inform asset
management and maintenance decision making at the Water Filtration Plant (WFP) and
Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF). From this assessment, B&C provided
recommendations for obtaining future goals set forth by WFP and WPCF.
The implementation roadmap provided by B&C maps the next five years of asset
management efforts and includes “quick win” activities that can be completed within
the next 3-6 months. Amendment No. 1 to the 2024 Professional Services Agreement
with Brown and Caldwell for WFP eOM and AM/Maintenance Program Support expands
the current scope of work and budget to execute the “quick win” activities.
In addition, the City identified a need to develop an electronic Operations and
Maintenance (eO&M) SharePoint site for the Transmission and Distribution (T&D)
System to have consistent documentation accessibility, management and training across
City facilities and systems. This scope expansion includes the development of the T&D
System eO&M SharePoint site.
Recommendation (exact action requested of Council):
Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to the 2024 Professional Services
Agreement with Brown and Caldwell for WFP Electronic Operations & Maintenance and
Asset Management Maintenance Program Support to increase compensation in the
amount of $274,876.00, for a total contact amount of $505,650.76.
