These <br /> comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the (2015 International <br /> Building Code,) (2015 International Residential Code,) as amended by the State of Washington <br /> and/or Washington State Energy Code 2015 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless <br /> stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. The minimum scale for construction drawings is 1/4" = V-0". <br /> 2. Provide detail of Guard construction per R312 IRC and attachment to the porch structure. <br /> Intermediate rails or balusters shall be spaced such that a sphere, 4 inches in diameter, <br /> cannot pass through (Less than 4 inch opening). <br /> 3. Provide handrail per R311.7.8 IRC at rear stairs and Guard per R312 IRC at rear stairs. <br /> Show on plans. <br /> 4. Provide stair detail for repairs to the stairs to the basement. Show proposed tread depth, <br /> riser height and minimum 6'-8" headroom over stairs. Show handrail requirements on <br /> section detail. <br /> 5. Specify 5/8"Type"X"GWB on interior side of walls that are less than 5 feet from the <br /> property line. <br /> 6. Provide minimum 100 CFM exhaust fan in the kitchen. Fan shall be vented to the exterior. <br /> 7. Show how basement is thermally isolated form the main floor, including the walls adjacent <br /> to the stairs, or provide insulation as required by the Washington State Energy Code in the <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> CITY OF EVERETT 9 3200 Cedar Street .
