Power OFF the water heater <br /> • Push the "On/Ofr' button located on the right-hand side of the controller. The display will go blank <br /> when the power is off. <br /> 2. Remove the front panel. <br /> • Remove the four screws securing the front panel. <br /> • Remove the front panel and locate the filter at the upper right-hand corner of the water heater. <br /> • Remove the air filter by pulling out the "FILTER Pull to Clean"tab <br /> 3. Clean the Air Filter <br /> • With mild dish soap and a soft bristle brush, scrub the filter area of the air filter door. <br /> • With clean water, rinse the soap off the filter. <br /> 4. Dry the Air Filter: With a lint free towel, dry the air filter. <br /> 5. Inspect and Replace the Air Filter <br /> • Inspect the air filter for any debris that may restrict air flow to the water heater. <br /> • If the filter still appears dirty repeat the cleaning steps. <br /> • Replace the air filter. <br /> 6.
