January 29, 2025 <br />6 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE creating a Special Improvement Project, entitled “Animal Shelter HVAC <br />Controls Update,” Fund 342, Program 049, to accumulate all costs for the project <br /> <br />COUNCIL BILL 2501-09 <br /> <br /> FIRST READING: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE creating a Special Improvement Project, entitled “36th Street CSO Storage <br />and Regulator Modifications,” Fund 336, Program 022, and repealing Ordinance No. 3902- <br />22 <br /> <br />COUNCIL BILL 2501-10 <br /> <br /> FIRST READING: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE creating a Special Improvement Project, entitled “Drew Nielsen Park <br />Playground Replacement,” Fund 354, Program 102, to accumulate all costs for the project <br />in the amount of $345,000 <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL BRIEFING: <br /> <br />Alliance for Housing Affordability <br />Presented by Chris Collier, Housing Authority of Snohomish County <br /> <br />Discussion ensued with Chris Collier and staff answering council questions. <br /> <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> <br />The City Council recessed for an executive session at 1:57 p.m., and began the executive session <br />at 1:59 p.m. At 2:19 p.m., President Schwab requested an additional 10-minutes. The executive <br />session continued at 2:20 p.m. and Council reconvened at 2:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> SETTLEMENT – CITY SEWER BACKUP <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Zarlingo, seconded by Council Member Bader, to authorize the <br />Mayor to execute a settlement of a tort claim with Leonard and Linda Wermes, in the amount <br />of $95,000 for a City sewer backup. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes.
