Per the attached the project does not require a stormwater report. We don't
take any issue with Grant's assessment. I suggest noting that we are interpreting placement of new gravel over existing
gravel as the equivalent of an overlay so it is not considered replaced hard surface.
From: Grant Moen <G Moen @everettwa.gov>
Sent: Wednesday, February 2, 2022 11:57 AM
To: Erik Emerson <EEmerson@everettwa.gov>
Subject: RE: Pallet Site Drainage
Hi Erik,
Take a look at the attached and let me know if this satisfies all requirements.
If it does meet the requirements, please let Thad know so we can move forward with permitting.
Thank you,
- Grant Moen, P.E.
Maintenance Superintendent I Public Works
425.257.8947 1 3200 Cedar Street, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to
the Public Records Act.
From: Erik Emerson <EEmerson@everettwa.gov>
Sent:Tuesday, February 1, 2022 4:33 PM
To: Grant Moen <G Moen @everettwa.gov>
Subject: RE: Pallet Site Drainage
That looks pretty good. Glad we're able to state that it's under 2,000 SF. Can we also state that it's less than 7,000 SF of
land disturbed (graded) within the separated section? That is another criteria which also triggers MR 1-5 review.
I think I'd leave out the reference to the road maintenance standards. If you're under 2,000 SF new/replaced hard
surface and 7,000 SF disturbed than the requirement is only to "prevent erosion and discharge of sediment and other
pollutants into receiving waters." Under the stormwater standard you don't have to specify what standards you're using,
although Thad might want you to address it under the City's small project requirements. I would just say that erosion
and sediment control measures will be provided, or something like that.
Thanks for jumping through the hoops.
1
