ORDINANCE No. 1882 An ordinance levying_ the general taxes or the ity of Everett for the fiscal year commencing Sanuary 1st 1920, upo all taxable property, both real and personal, in said City, subject to taxation therein, for the purpose of raising sufficient revena to carry on the different departments of said City for the ensuing year, as required by the Charter of said City, prescribing and apportion- ing the same among the different funds of said City or said fiscal year, providing for the collection thereof and rape ing all ordiila.aces in conflict therewith. Whereas, on the 21st day of September, 1919 , th- City Council did duly and regularly adopt the estimate of the amo nt required to .e-ita sed-b x y-4aat&a .-meet the public expenses ,f said city for the ensuing year, and the amount to be raised by taxation in said city for said ensuing year and the estimated amounts of the receipts for the ensuing year from sources other than by direct taxation, and aa Whereas, said estimate , together with the notice that Bad City Council would meet on the first Monday in Octob r 1919,' is the City Hall of said City for the purpose of making . tax levies, as stated in said estimates, was published in the official newspaper of sad city in all respe:: is as required by law, and Whereas, said time for considering said estimate and tax levies has now arrived and said City Council having (heard all tax-payers appearing in favor of or against said pro i) osed tax levies, does hereby make , determine and decide the amount of taxes upon the current assessineit rolls to be the sum of $276 ,230.00, apportioned as hereinafter described, NOW THEREFORE , TiE; CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
