The anticipated value of the contract is <br />approximately $850,000.00 but can vary depending on need and may exceed $1 million. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Public Works Department uses maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) parts to support <br />the City’s water system's daily operations. The contract award includes various required parts, <br />such as pipes and fittings, valves, service brass, and PVC connections. The contract award is for <br />one (1) year with four (4) one-year extension options. <br /> <br />Invitations for Bid were sent to seven (7) suppliers, posted on the City website, and advertised in <br />the Everett Herald. Responses were received, as shown on the attached bid tabulation. <br /> <br />Staff is recommending awards to multiple suppliers, including Iconix Waterworks, HD Fowler Inc., <br />Ferguson Enterprises, Core & Main, and Best Plumbing Specialties, based on the lowest cost per <br />item, as shown in the attached bid sheet. If an emergent need arises and the lowest-cost supplier <br />cannot provide the required parts, staff will proceed to the next lowest-cost supplier to meet <br />project demand.
