This PSA authorizes $290,000 in 2025 to the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce to support economic development initiatives. These funds will support business outreach, networking events, marketing efforts, and technical assistance aimed at strengthening local businesses and enhancing Everett’s reputation as a business hub. The agreement includes an optional one-year extension for 2026, at the City’s discretion. If extended, the total contract amount will increase to $530,000, with an additional $240,000 allocated for 2026 services. Project Summary Statement The Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce will provide economic development services to the City of Everett under a 2025 services agreement, focusing on the following areas: • Business Outreach & Engagement: Conducting outreach to Everett businesses, maintaining a business directory, and launching targeted initiatives to underrepresented small businesses and micro enterprises. • Events & Networking: Hosting monthly networking events and a minimum of four signature events, including the State of the City. • Marketing & Promotions: Developing marketing campaigns that position Everett as a prime business location and supporting business promotion efforts such as ribbon- cutting ceremonies. • Technical Assistance: Providing businesses with access to resources, funding support, and business planning assistance, including the launch of an online bilingual resource center. • Advocacy: Engaging in policy discussions that impact the local business community. The Chamber will submit an annual work plan within 30 days of the contract’s effective date. Payments will be distributed quarterly, contingent upon the submission of performance reports. Note: $600,000 was allocated to the Chamber project in Resolution 8061. The budget breakdown is as follows: • $49,500 For consultant to facilitate formation committee (complete) • $530,000 for Chamber Services Agreement (this contract) • $20,000 for annual membership 2025-2026 (to be paid on purchase order) Recommendation Approve the 2025 Services Agreement with the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce in the amount of $290,000, with an optional one-year extension for an additional $240,000 at the City’s discretion.
