SECTION 23 0510 <br /> MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.01 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Drawings and General Provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br /> Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section. <br /> B. Section 07 0510 Preparation for Re-Roofing. <br /> C. Section 07 5400 -TPO Membrane Roofing. <br /> D. Section 07 6210—Sheet Metal Flashings. <br /> 1.02 SUMMARY <br /> A. This Section specifies requirements for the following Scope of Work: <br /> 1. All roof curbs must meet the manufacturers' minimum height requirements above the <br /> finished roof system surface to accommodate the new membrane flashing and <br /> terminations for the special project warrantable application. <br /> 2. Mechanical disconnection, extension, shortening, and/or reconnection shall be performed <br /> in accordance with the current local codes for the adopted Building Code, Mechanical. <br /> 3. Electrical disconnection, extension, shortening, and/or reconnection shall be performed in <br /> accordance with the current local codes for the adopted Building Code, Electrical. <br /> 4. Plumbing work shall be performed in accordance with the current local codes for the <br /> adopted Building Code, Plumbing. <br /> 5. Details, not shown or specified but necessary for proper modification, installation and <br /> operation shall be included within the work as though specified herein. <br /> 6. It is the Contractor's responsibility to identify the means and methods of the required <br /> modifications and alterations that will be needed to achieve the approved flashing height <br /> for the special project roof warranty. <br /> 1.03 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Shop Drawings: Provide detailed Drawings including plans, elevations, and connections of <br /> equipment. <br /> 1. Include Spec data sheets of all equipment requiring modifications <br /> 2. Provide current license of certified MEP subcontractor scheduled to complete the work in <br /> site. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS (NOT USED) <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 GENERAL <br /> A. Mechanical, electrical, and associated work shall be performed by a licensed tradesman and <br /> shall comply with the applicable code requirements. <br /> B. Wherever possible match the existing mechanical and electrical components; replace in kind <br /> when made necessary by roofing operations. <br /> C. Lengthening and installation of additional connections for ducts, conduits, control wiring, <br /> condensate pipes and similar mechanical and electrical work made necessary by roof <br /> replacement work shall be identified and incorporated into the project scope of work prior to the <br /> bid and performed by the successful Contractor. <br /> D. Handle, store, and protect equipment and materials to prevent damage before and durin <br /> g installation. <br /> E.
