ORDINAaTCE No . i E"2 <br /> An Ordinance relating to the improvement of Norton Avenue <br /> from Hewitt Avenue to 22 nd Street , amending Ordinance No. 1863 <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> Whereas, by ordinance No. 1863 it has been determined to <br /> improve Norton Avenue from Hewitt Avenue to 22nd Street by <br /> paving etc. and <br /> Whereas, after a new estimate of the cost thereof , due notice <br /> has been given to all property owners and a hearing held thereon <br /> , now therefore , <br /> THE CITY OF EVET- i TT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 That section three (3) of ordinance No. 1863 <br /> be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 3: That there is hereby established a Local Improve- <br /> ment District No. 343 which shall be divided into a direct benefit <br /> district and an indirect benefit district and shall include the <br /> following described property to-wit: <br /> Direct benefit district: All the property between the termini <br /> of said improvement abutting upon, adjacent;vicinal.or proximate <br /> to such portion of Norton Avenue as above set forth to a distance <br /> back from the marginal lines thereof, to the center lira of the <br /> blocks facing or abutting thereon, provided, that in any case such <br /> distance shall be at least ninety (90) feet and provided further , <br /> that in case of unpiatted property, the distance back shall be the <br /> same as- the distance as that included in the assessment of the <br /> platted lands immediately adjacent thereto; direct benefit <br /> district to bear sixty (60) per cent of cost of total improvement. <br />
