ORDINAaTCE No . i E"2 An Ordinance relating to the improvement of Norton Avenue from Hewitt Avenue to 22 nd Street , amending Ordinance No. 1863 and declaring an emergency. Whereas, by ordinance No. 1863 it has been determined to improve Norton Avenue from Hewitt Avenue to 22nd Street by paving etc. and Whereas, after a new estimate of the cost thereof , due notice has been given to all property owners and a hearing held thereon , now therefore , THE CITY OF EVET- i TT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 That section three (3) of ordinance No. 1863 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 3: That there is hereby established a Local Improve- ment District No. 343 which shall be divided into a direct benefit district and an indirect benefit district and shall include the following described property to-wit: Direct benefit district: All the property between the termini of said improvement abutting upon, adjacent;vicinal.or proximate to such portion of Norton Avenue as above set forth to a distance back from the marginal lines thereof, to the center lira of the blocks facing or abutting thereon, provided, that in any case such distance shall be at least ninety (90) feet and provided further , that in case of unpiatted property, the distance back shall be the same as- the distance as that included in the assessment of the platted lands immediately adjacent thereto; direct benefit district to bear sixty (60) per cent of cost of total improvement.
