OTTO ROSENAU & ASSOCIATES, INC. <br /> Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Inspection & Materials Testing <br /> GEOTECHNICAL INSPECTION REPORT <br /> Report Number: GE0460432 <br /> Project Name: Boeing - Bldg. 40-27 Side of Body Access Stands Job Number: 23-0861 <br /> Project Address: Building 40-27, Everett Permit: B2309-055 <br /> Client Name: The Boeing Company <br /> Inspection Desc.: Subgrade evaluation, bearing verification <br /> Inspector <br /> and Date Remarks <br /> Mark Gray Inspected the following: <br /> December 23, 2023 Slab subgrade, interior, tunnel level, approximate grids T.6—T.7/6.57-6.9 per layout on <br /> sheet 1 S10-27 of plans, dated 03/02/2023, supplied by the contractor; excavation was <br /> approximately 5 feet below finish floor; area approximately 30X15 along the referenced <br /> grid. <br /> Description <br /> The exposed material consisted of native gravelly sandy silt, pit run, and CDF. No <br /> consolidation of disturbed soils was completed at the time of the inspection. ORA Field Rep <br /> suggested use of a plate compactor or jumping jack to compact the loose material at <br /> design elevation. <br /> A'/z" steel probe was used to evaluate completed subgrade conditions. <br /> Summary <br /> A representative number of probe tests were taken throughout the referenced subgrade; <br /> based on penetrations of 2-6"with moderate resistance to advance into undisturbed <br /> surface using full body weight, the subgrade was considered unsuitable for the allowable <br /> load bearing pressure of 3,000PSF per General Structural Notes on sheet S2n. <br /> The contractor informed ORA Field Rep they would apply some form of mechanical <br /> consolidation and re-schedule and inspection—work in progress. <br /> Copies to: Anthony Coyne, P.E.
