Borings were
extended to a maximum depth of 41'/2 feet. The site properties below the boring depth to 100 feet were
estimated based on our experience and knowledge of geologic conditions of the general area.
2 These values were obtained using online seismic design maps and tools provided by the Applied
Technology Council (https://hazards.atcouncil.orq/) which reference ASCE 7-10 values for the 2015 IBC
edition.
3
Surface-Fault Rupture
The hazard of damage from onsite fault rupture appears to be low based on review of the USGS
Earthquake Hazards Program Quaternary Faults and Folds Database available online
(https://usgs.maps.arcqis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=5a6038b3a1684561 a9b0aadf
88412fcf) accessed on July 31, 2020. The closest mapped fault is the northernmost splay of the
South Whidbey Island fault zone, which lies approximately 21/2 miles to the southwest, and passes
beneath Paine Field. This fault splay (and the fault zone) trends northwest-southeast.
Responsive • Resourceful • Reliable 13
