RESPONSE:The structural building plans submitted with the initial permit package were preliminary <br /> drawings. The final drawings and structural calculations are enclosed in the attached REV1 submittal <br /> package which address the structural building comments. <br /> 5.The seismic load should include a vertical seismic component concurrent with the horizontal <br /> loading. The vertical component should be applied in both directions; the upward force is <br /> anticipated to create the worse-case loading for the columns, base components, and <br /> anchorage. Design and detailing for the column base connections, including but not limited to the base <br /> plates and welds, are required to be designed per Section D2.6. <br /> d.
