KAISER PERMANENTE <br />ASC & Clinic (HUB) <br />Everett, WA <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 EXAMINATION <br />Site Prep #1 Electrical Service <br />March 18, 2020 <br />Proiect No. 19.05002.00 <br />A. Examine areas and conditions for compliance with requirements of installation tolerances <br />and other conditions affecting performance of the fans. Do not proceed with installation <br />until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. <br />3.2 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install fans according to manufacturer's written instructions. <br />B. Support units using the external vibration -control devices as indicated. Vibration -control <br />devices are specified in Division 23 Section "Vibration and Seismic Controls for HVAC <br />Piping and Equipment." <br />1. Support floor mounted fans on concrete housekeeping bases or roof supports <br />using housed spring isolators. Secure units to anchor bolts installed in <br />housekeeping base. <br />2. Secure roof -mounted fans to roof curbs with cadmium -plated hardware. <br />a. Installation of roof curbs is specified in Division 07 Sections. <br />3. Suspend units from structural steel support frame using threaded steel rods and <br />vibration isolation springs. <br />4. Ceiling Units: Suspend units from structure using steel wire or metal straps. <br />C. Install units with clearances for service and maintenance. <br />D. Label units according to requirements specified in Division 23 Section "Identification for <br />HVAC Piping and Equipment." <br />3.3 HOUSEKEEPING BASES <br />A. Coordinate size of housekeeping bases with actual unit sizes provided. <br />3.4 CONNECTIONS <br />A. Duct installation and connection requirements are specified in other Division 23 Sections. <br />Drawings indicate the general arrangement of ducts and duct accessories. Make final <br />duct connections with flexible connectors. <br />B. Electrical: Conform to applicable requirements in Division 26 Sections. <br />C. Grounding: Ground equipment. Tighten electrical connectors and terminals, including <br />grounding connections, according to manufacturer's published torque -tightening values. <br />Where manufacturer's torque values are not indicated, use those specified in UL 486A <br />and UL 486B. <br />3.5 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. Manufacturer's Field Service: Provide services of a factory -authorized service <br />representative to supervise the field assembly of components and installation of fans, <br />including duct and electrical connections, and to report results in writing. <br />3.6 ADJUSTING <br />A. Adjust damper linkages for proper damper operation. <br />B. Adjust belt tension. <br />FANS 23 34 00 - 6 <br />
