Removable Cores: Core insert, removable by use of a special key, and for use <br />with only the core manufacturer's cylinder and door hardware. Provide removable <br />core (small or large format) as specified in Hardware Sets. <br />2. Provide "0" bitted permanent cores for each lock or cylinder <br />3. Permanent cores keyed and installed by Owner. <br />E. Keying System: Each type of lock and cylinders to be factory keyed. <br />Conduct specified "Keying Conference" to define and document keying system <br />instructions and requirements. <br />2. Furnish factory cut, nickel -silver large bow permanently inscribed with a visual <br />key control number as directed by Owner. <br />3. Existing System: Owner's existing key system. <br />F. Key Quantity: Provide the following minimum number of keys: <br />1. Change Keys per Cylinder: Two (2) <br />2. Master Keys (per Master Key Level/Group): Five (5). <br />3. Construction Keys (where required): Ten (10). <br />4. Construction Control Keys (where required): Two (2). <br />5. Permanent Control Keys (where required): Two (2). <br />G. Construction Keying: Provide temporary keyed construction cores. <br />2.6 MECHANICAL LOCKS AND LATCHING DEVICES <br />A. Mortise Locksets, Grade 1 (Heavy Duty): ANSI/BHMA A156.13, Series 1000, <br />Operational Grade 1 certified. Locksets are to be manufactured with a corrosion resistant <br />steel case and be field -reversible for handing without disassembly of the lock body. <br />Acceptable Manufacturers: <br />a. Sargent 8200 Series <br />2.7 AUXILIARY LOCKS <br />A. Push -Pull Latches, Paddle Type, Mortise: ANSI/BHMA Al56.13, Series 1000, Operational and <br />Security Grade 1 mortise type push-pull locks and latches with ligature -resistant paddle trim <br />capable of being mounted in vertical (up or down) and horizontal (sideways) positions. Locksets <br />to be manufactured with a corrosion resistant, formed steel case and be non -handed, field - <br />reversible for re -handing without disassembly of the lock body. Paddles and covers are <br />manufactured from cast stainless steel or brass material. Provide optional lead -lining (lock body) <br />and Torx® fasteners as specified in Hardware Sets. <br />1.
