Furnish extra materials described below that match products installed and that are <br />packaged with protective covering for storage and identified with labels describing <br />contents. <br />1. Sprinkler Cabinets: Finished, wall -mounting steel cabinet and hinged cover, with <br />space for a minimum of six spare sprinklers plus sprinkler wrench. Include the <br />number of sprinklers required by NFPA 13 and wrench for sprinklers. Include <br />separate cabinet with sprinklers and wrench for each type of sprinkler on Project. <br />PART 2-PRODUCTS <br />2.1 PIPING MATERIALS <br />A. Refer to Part 3 "Piping Applications" Article for applications of pipe, tube, fitting, and <br />joining materials. <br />2.2 PIPES AND TUBES <br />A. Steel Pipe, NPS 2 and Smaller: ASTM A 53/A 53M, Schedule 40. Hot dip galvanized <br />where indicated. <br />B. Steel Pipe, NPS 2-1/2 and Larger: ASTM A 135 or ASTM A 795, Grade A, Schedule 10 <br />for NPS 5-inch and Smaller; NFPA specified wall thickness for NPS 6-inch and NPS 8- <br />inch. Hot dip galvanized where indicated. <br />2.3 PIPE AND TUBE FITTINGS <br />A. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide products by one of the <br />following: <br />B. Steel Threaded Couplings: ASTM A 865. <br />2.4 SPRINKLERS <br />A. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide products by one of the <br />following: <br />1. Firematic Sprinkler Devices, Inc. <br />2. Globe Fire Sprinkler Corp. <br />3. Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. <br />4. Tyco Fire Suppression & Building Products <br />5. Victaulic Co. <br />6. Viking Corp. <br />B. Automatic Sprinklers: With heat -responsive element complying with the following: <br />1. UL 199, for applications except residential. <br />C. Sprinklers shall be glass bulb type. Body shall be die-cast brass with hex -shaped wrench <br />boss cast into the body to facilitate installation and reduce risk of damage during <br />installation. <br />D. Sprinkler Types and Categories: Nominal 1/2-inch orifice for "Ordinary" temperature <br />classification rating, quick response, unless otherwise indicated or required by <br />application. <br />1.
