The numbers below correspond with Plan Review comments <br /> received and Revision 1 on the referenced drawings. Responses are italicized: <br /> Building Department comments: <br /> 1. On Sheets A5.0 and A6.0, the proposed CMU opening is greater than 7'-0" (noted as 9'-8" per the <br /> Glazing Note E on Sheet A5.0 and on A1,0)and indicates the requirement to provide lintel beam <br /> strengthening as designed by a structural engineer(Detail 1/A5.0). <br /> a. Structural engineering drawings S1.0 and S2.0 have been added to the construction <br /> document set, S1.0 provides lintel requirements for the opening size indicated. <br /> b. Drawings A5.0 and A6.0 have been revised to reference the new structural drawings <br /> that have been added to the set. <br /> 2. Detail 13/A6.0 appears to provide another detail for openings for 8'-0" max opening. Please <br /> provide a lintel strengthening that is adequate for the opening being designed and verify that <br /> vertical loading carrying capacity at this location is adequate for the proposed alteration. Please <br /> provide stamped calculations and details for the proposed opening. IEBC 806.2. <br /> a. Structural engineering drawing S1.0 and S2.0 have been added to the construction <br /> document set and provide lintel requirements for the opening size indicated. <br /> b. Drawings A5.0 and A6.0 have been revised to reference the new structural drawings <br /> that have been added to the set. <br /> c.
