February 26, 2025 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., February 26, <br />2025, by President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Zarlingo, Fosse, Bader, <br />Rhyne, Vogeli, Tuohy, and President Schwab were present. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the February 19, 2025 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin visited a new business on Colby Avenue, Sobar, that offers not only coffee but is <br />a gift shop and an event space. She also stated that the State of the City will be held on March <br />27th at 4:00 p.m., hosted at Apex by the Everett Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The Council received two (2) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Steve Reed <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Several council members thanked the public commentors. <br /> <br />Vice President Zarlingo thanked Council Rhyne for referring him to the Buildable Lands Report, <br />and thanked Planning Director Yorik Stevens-Wajda and Long-Range Planning Manager Alice Ann <br />Wetzel for meeting regarding the Comprehensive Plan update. They will be hosting a Town Hall <br />this afternoon at 6:00 p.m. at Everett Station. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Northwest Neighborhood meeting last week, and Everett’s <br />representative at the Regional Fare Forum regarding ORCA. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne attended the Farmer’s Market “Get Ready Market”, Carl Gibson Center <br />Luncheon Series, and the Historic Committee meeting. <br />
