<br />and incidental for the installation, maintenance and removal of the Temporary Erosion and
<br />Sedimentation Control (TESC) facilities to prevent pollution, erosion, siltation, and damage
<br />to any wetland, stream, other watercourse, or surrounding property throughout the life of
<br />the Contract. TESC facilities shall include, but not be limited to, any cover measures, runoff
<br />control measures, soil and site stabilization measures, silt fencing as shown on the Plans,
<br />and inlet protection measures for the work area and downstream areas.
<br />The TESC measures shall limit the erosion possibility by covering disturbed soils,
<br />preventing sloughing or raveling of cut and natural slopes, and controlling surface runoff
<br />from flowing into excavations using measures such as curbs, berms, dikes, rock-lined
<br />ditches, and other approved measures. Filter fabric fence shall be used to treat small areas
<br />of non-concentrated runoff prior to discharge from the site.
<br />Bid Item 38 - Inlet Protection
<br />Measurement and Payment: Each (EA)
<br />Measurement and payment of Inlet Protection shall be for each Inlet Protection device
<br />installed per Section 8-01 of the Standard Specification, plan and standard details.
<br />Maintenance of Inlet Protection devices will be paid for under the bid item Erosion/Water
<br />Pollution Control.
<br />Bid Item 39 - Topsoil Type A
<br />Measurement and Payment: (CY)
<br />The contract bid price for “Topsoil Type A” per cubic yard, shall be full compensation for all
<br />labor, material, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to fine grade, place, cultivate, and
<br />cleanup for the depth of topsoil called for in the Plans.
<br />Bid Item 40 - Compost
<br />Measurement and Payment: (CY)
<br />The contract bid price for “Compost” per cubic yard, shall be full compensation for all labor,
<br />material, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to fine grade, place, cultivate, and
<br />cleanup for the depth of compost called for in the Plans.
<br />Bid Item 41 - Mulch
<br />Measurement and Payment: (CY)
<br />The contract bid price for “Arborist Wood Chip Mulch” per cubic yard, shall be full
<br />compensation for all labor, material, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to fine
<br />grade, place, cultivate, and cleanup for the particular item called for in the Plans.
<br />Bid Item 42 - PSIPE Plantings
<br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS)
<br />The unit Contract price Lump Sum (LS) for “PSIPE Plantings” (Plant Selection Including
<br />Plant Establishment) will be full pay for all Work to perform as specified within the planting
<br />area for weed control and planting area preparation, planting, staking, cleanup, and water
<br />necessary to complete planting operations as specified to the end of first year plant
<br />establishment.
<br />As the plants that include plant establishment are obtained, propagated, and grown, partial
<br />payments will be made as follows after inspection by the Engineer:
