Authorizing the call for bids at this time will allow the project to be advertised for competitive bids after the completion of the construction documents. Project summary statement: This project will make necessary repairs to the roof and facades of the building where there is a documented history of water intrusion. A scope of work has been prepared to address deficient conditions and design drawings have been completed to support a repair plan and resealing of the brick and masonry exterior surfaces. Once bids are received staff will return for City Council to authorize an amendment to the funding ordinance for the cost of the construction of the Main Library Building Envelope Improvements Project.
