Structural drawings should be submitted as <br /> needed that include framing plans, sections, details, construction schedules, fastening <br /> schedules, materials requirements, general notes, special inspection requirements, etc. The <br /> drawings should substantiate compliance with the prescriptive requirements of the IRC. See <br /> IRC Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1. <br /> 2. The project may involve structural modifications that do not comply with the prescriptive <br /> limitations of the IRC. Where a structural design is performed per Section R301.1.3, structural <br /> drawings and calculations should be prepared by a professional engineer licensed in the state of <br /> Washington; the drawings and calculations should bear the seal and signature of the engineer. <br /> See RCW Sections 18.43.010, 18.43.020, and 18.43.070. <br /> a. ee the (2) new 15" 1.9E Microlam flush beams on Sheet 2. The new beams appear <br /> to not be prescriptive to the 2018 IRC. Please provide engineered calculations by a <br /> professional engineer licensed in the state of Washington. In addition, provide <br /> fr ing details. <br /> i. Please provide engineered calculations for the (2) new 18x18x12 footings on <br /> Sheet 3. <br /> b. The new Braced Wall Panel (BWP) in the addition between the New Great Room and <br /> New Master Bedroom should have a footing to properly anchor the BWP. See IRC <br /> R403.1.6 and R602.11.2 <br /> Z____ <br /> i. Blocking should be provided on the new BWP referenced in comment 2b. <br /> See IRC Figure R602.10.8.2(3) for Braced Wall Panel connection to <br /> tob 5,j, perpendicular rafters or roof trusses. <br /> } a' ,�ii. Provide anchor spacing for the new BWP referenced in comment 2b per IRC <br /> ?� �o d R403.1.6.1. <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br /> amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br /> during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br /> requirements.
