Please see Geotechnical Report by Geo Group Northwest, Inc. dated my 26th, 2022.
The geotechnical report specifies a maximum helical pile spacing of 4ft, but sheet S-1
shows a spacing of 6 ft. Update the drawings to comply with the geotechnical report or
provide an updated geotechnical report. R106.1.1.
Response: After discussion with the Geotechnical Engineer. We have been
made aware that an updated Geotechnical Report has been submitted. New
Geotech report is dated February 21st, 2023 by Geo Group Northwest Inc.
Based on this revised report, it is noted that the 4ft spacing values are
recommended, but that actual spacing may be verified by EOR. Therefore,
the existing structural plans are sufficient.
2.) The geotechnical report specifies a recommended allowable design pier design
capacity for the residence foundation to be 4000 lbs. The calculations and drawings
should be updated to comply with the geotechnical design recommendations.
Response: After discussion with the Geotechnical Engineer. We have been
made aware that an updated Geotechnical Report has been submitted. New
Geotech report is dated February 21st, 2023 by Geo Group Northwest Inc.
Based on this revised report, it is noted that recommended allowable pile
capacities are sufficient up to 20kips. As noted on plans, all allowable loads
are within the 20kip recommendation limitation. Therefore, the existing
structural plans are sufficient.
0 (206i 790 9L,02
• L120Engineering.com
