From:John Curry<John.Currv@adamslawyers.com>
Sent: Wednesday,April 10, 2024 4:30 PM
To:Tony Lee<TLee@everettwa.gov>
Cc: Mans Thurfjell <mthurfjell@I120engineering.com>; Tammi Boutchyard <tammi@rrspecialist.net>
Subject: [EXTERNAL] Proposed Language and Inspection Protocol - R&R Foundation
CAUTION:This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you
recognize the sender and know the content is safe.
Hello Tony,
Thank you for your patience. The proposed language and inspection procedure for the overdue Everett
projects is as follows:
"R&R Foundation Specialist are in the process of finalizing the permits for (15) projects in the city of Everett
that were approved and installed according to the submitted structural plans. Based on current jurisdiction
requirements to close out the permits, the following proposal option is recommended:
L120 Engineering and Design,as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for the listed projects, shall provide an on-site
re-inspection that will consist of a single test pile that shall be load tested to be in compliance with the design
loads as noted on the structural plans for each project. L120 shall provide an additional/revised compliance
letter based on the successful results of the test piles. Revised compliance letter shall also note the presence,
date, and time of the FOR on-site observation of the testing. The revised compliance letter shall be issued for
final city approval/permitting.
Based on L120 Engineering's supervision throughout the projects, and 1,120's longstanding experience with
R&R Foundation Specialists quality of foundation repairs,we anticipate that the successful re-inspection
results for each of the proposed test piles will be an adequate justification for the remaining piles and sufficient
for an approved final permit completion."
Please let me know if this is satisfactory.
Yours,
John O. Curry
Attorney
ADAMS&DUNCAN,INC.,P.S.
LAWYERS
3128 Colby Avenue
Everett,WA 98201
Dir.
