I understand your feeling about this matter being you're the plans examiner, however it feels we are creating a mountain out of a molehill. This building is only about 4 years old and I know we are in a new building code cycle, but I can't imagine the wall and ceiling drywall assemblies have changed too much for a unit like this. I know that in the past Tony Lee has worked with me on achieving a "repair project" for Everett Housing Authority using the original building plans for the repair, due to the damage being less than 25%of the overall building footprint. If we have to involve an Architect to get all of the required documents and information to the COE planning this will severely delay the project and add more cost impacts to a nonprofit organization. I'm not trying to side step building inspections,just trying to expedite the process to help get another homeless person into housing., Thanks and have a good weekend!
