The funding <br />sources for this project will be as follows: <br /> DEMO Grant – ID # WA365 $ 850,000 <br /> Fund 157 – Traffic Mitigation 4,150,000 <br /> Total Funds $5,000,000 <br />This ordinance will provide funding authorization for the design phase of the project. The <br />department will bring a subsequent ordinance that will include construction funding for <br />Council consideration in the future. <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />This project will construct a new bridge over Railway Avenue that will extend Everett Avenue <br />from its current terminus at E. Grand Avenue and provide connection to the EPIC Green site. <br />The site spans over 100 acres, of which the City owns 64 acres. Currently, its sole access is via <br />Railway Avenue, via an at-grade crossing of the BNSF railway mainline. <br />The site currently hosts the City’s Police Department impound yard and City’s Public Works <br />bulk storage yard. The department also plans to move and consolidate its Public Works <br />Service Center to this location. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt an Ordinance creating a Special Improvement Project entitled “Everett Point Industrial <br />Center (EPIC) Green Bridge” Fund 303, Program 132, to accumulate all costs for the <br />improvement. <br />
