ti ORDINANCE NO...\ ju An ordinance providing for the improvement of Baker Avenue from the curb line on the south side of Twenty Third street to the curb ,: � ; line on the south side of Twenty fifth street, by grading, paving, . and the installation of concrete curbs, and between Twenty third street and twenty fourth street by the installation of watermain, and between twenty fourth street and twenty fifth street by the building of side walks, and by doing such other work as is necessary to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with the plans of the city engineer therefor, creating an assessment district, creating a Local Improvement District fund therefor, providing for payment of said improvement bar -, special assessment on the property in said district under the mode of e payment by bonds. Whereas a majority petition of the property owners on Baker Avenue _:- between Twentythird and TwentyFifth streets has heretofore been filed with the Commissioner of Public Works, petitioning for the above dare-� cribed improvement, and whereas after due hearing thereon it appears to the City Council that public convenience re4uireletithat said impr4 .e went be made; NOW THEREFORE THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: SeML.l. That Baker Avenue from the curb line at the south side of Twentythird street to the curb line at the south side of Twentyfifth streets be improved by grading to proper grade, installation of cones - crate curbs, paving, and said street from the zutk outb line at the south side of Twentythird street to the curb line at the south side of TwentyFourth street be further improved by the installation of watermain, and from Twenty Fourth street to Twentyfifth street by the . building of concrete sidewalks, and by doing such other work on said street as is necessary to make a complete improvement all in accordance with the plans of the City engineer , and the specifications therefor now on file, which said plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2. That the cost and expense of such improvement inpinding all neeesaarr and incidental expenses shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the assessment district herein orem. -. ,, � ated in accordance with law. The City of Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the costs and expenses of such impr G :: ment. . Section 3. There is hereby established a Local Improvement District �' ; to be called "Local I��.provewent District No_ 3._ __", which district shall include the following described property; " '.,Lots Eleven to-sixteen inclusive (ii to 16 inc . ) of Block 543 -- ---,''A._` n unplatted tract in Block 543, and lots * seventeen (17) to thirtytwo(32) inclusive of : ` Block 544, all in Division "I" of Everett Lots 17 to 32 inclusive in Block 498 °a,nd Lots 1 to 16 inclusive in Block 499, bogs of Capitol Hill Second Addition. Section 4. A special fund i a 'hereby created to be called "Local Itriprovement District Fund No.__ may._, which shall consist in the aggregate of the several amounts as:�essed, levied, and collected on the several lots and parcels of land in said local improvement die- ;� trict, ti�xsx and the proceeds of the sale of the bonds of the said ; ; redistrict for the purpose of paying the coats and expenses of such imY . r ovement.
