Community Transit - Merrill Creek Facility
Renovation - Transportation Analysis
heffron
transportation inc
The increase in site employment could result in additional employee transit trips made to and from the
site. Community Transit plans to continue encouraging employees to use transit, vanpools, carpools and
bicycles when feasible.
3.6. Non -Motorized Transportation Facilities
No changes are proposed to existing non -motorized facilities in the site vicinity.
4. Analysis Findings
The Merrill Creek Facility Renovation project is intended to accommodate expected growth in the
transit fleet size and the associated changes to employment needed for that growth. The project is
expected to accommodate CT's planned ultimate level of service and staffing with increases estimated
at 30% compared to current (fall 2020) conditions. Future trip generation at the site was derived based
on planned employee re -assignments, parking re -allocations, and the long-term site employment
projections reflecting 30% growth. The project is estimated to increased site -generated traffic by 12 PM
peak hour trips and is not expected to change operating conditions of the three site access intersections.
The re -allocated parking supply is expected to accommodate the estimated peak parking demand for
both the maintenance building and administration building with the employee re -assignments. The
project is not expected to result in any adverse transportation impacts.
Attachment A: Level of Service Definitions and Thresholds
TSM/tsm
CT MCOB Expansion Tragic Analysis Memo_FINAL
December 9, 2020 1 19
