The comments below were generated from this project's City of Everett Industrial Pretreatment Reviewer. All questions shall be routed through this project's
Public Works Reviewer Thad Newport with City of Everett Permit Services (TNewport@everettwa.gov).
#
Document
Sht/Pg
Reviewer's Comment
Designer's Response
Initials
City Comment: With the installation of downturned elbows on
the outlet of both of the 1000 gallon OWS', this will satisfy this
comment.
3
Civil Plans
-
2"d Review Comment: The berm around the east fuel island
An asphalt berm has been added along the
(Pacific Pride) will need to be redone and surround the entire
east and north edge of concrete pad
fuel island to prevent stormwater from reaching the catch basin
(Construction Note 10). Stormwater runoff
on the southwest corner of the fuel island. The areas outside of
along the east edge will flow south,
the bermed area will need to be sloped such that it will not be
following the road grade. The asphalt berm will prevent
the existing onsite catch basins that discharges to the private
stormwater from flowing onto the concrete
storm along the west property line. The Pacific Pride fuel island
pad, per request.
catch basin has a tributary area of approximately 1,460 square
feet. There is approximately 460 square feet of open concrete
pad between the fuel island and the 7th Avenue SE right-of-way
line. Drainage from the Pacific Pride fuel island flows through a
11000 gallon OWS prior to discharging from the site. According to
OWS sizing charts a 188-gallon volume structure would be
required for water quality treatment.
The final design proposes to revise the existing drainage piping
to convey the 1,460 square feet of Pacific Pride tributary
drainage area to the sanitary sewer via usage of the 4,500
gallon containment tank. The combined peak flow proposed
(in gpm) to enter the sanitary sewer are provided with the
submittal. The proposed berm is not necessary to control this
drainage area.
City Comment: The current berm in place at the east fuel island
(Pacific Pride) is not sufficient to prevent stormwater from
outside of the concrete pad from entering the catch basin at the
southwest corner of the concrete pad. Currently, the berm only
exists at the southern end of the pad. The berm must be
expanded/redone to fully encompass the entire pad to prevent
Page 3 of 8
