<br /> <br />1. Affirmatively market Project assistance to eligible persons in a manner <br />that does not discriminate against persons on the basis of race, color, <br />religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin; <br />2. Provide all applicants and participants with information on rights and <br />remedies available under applicable federal, State, and local fair <br />housing and civil rights laws; and, <br />3. Take reasonable steps to ensure meaningful access to assistance <br />provided by the Project for limited English proficiency (LEP) persons, <br />consistent with Title VI and Executive Order 13166. <br />iii. Section 109 of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 <br />(42 U.S.C. §§ 5304(b) and 5309), as amended, and 24 CFR part 6 (Non- <br />Discrimination in Programs and Activities Receiving Assistance Under Title I of <br />the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974), as amended; <br />iv. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. § 794), as amended, <br />and 24 CFR part 8, as amended; <br />v. The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.), as <br />amended; <br />vi. The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 (42 U.S.C. § 6101 et seq.), as amended; <br />and, <br />vii. Executive Order No. 11063, as amended by Executive Order 12259, and 24 <br />CFR part 107 (Equal Opportunity in Housing), as amended. <br /> <br />C. Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity <br />a. The Agency agrees that it will assist and cooperate actively with the County, HUD, <br />and the Secretary of Labor in obtaining the compliance of the Agency and <br />subagencies with the statutes and laws referred to in this Section and the rules, <br />regulations, and relevant orders of the Secretary of Labor; that it will furnish the <br />County, HUD, and the Secretary of Labor such information as they may require for <br />the supervision of such compliance; and that it will otherwise assist the County, HUD, <br />and the Department of Labor in the discharge of the Department of Labor’s primary <br />responsibility for securing compliance. The Agency will also ensure the compliance of <br />the Agency and subagencies with state requirements pertaining to equal opportunity. <br />b. The Agency shall comply with laws, regulations, and executive orders pertaining to <br />nondiscrimination in employment and contracting opportunities, including, but not <br />limited to: <br />i.
