There is <br />a total of $50,000.00 available to be shared by participating Region 10 agencies. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The United States Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration <br />has provided funding for law enforcement agencies in WTSC Region 10 to conduct overtime <br />walker/roller safety education and enforcement. The goal is to positively change walker (e.g. <br />pedestrian), roller (e.g. bicyclist) and motor vehicle driver behaviors through law enforcement <br />patrols and public outreach/media efforts. This agreement becomes effective upon execution by <br />both parties and is valid through September 30, 2025. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interagency Agreement with the Washington Traffic Safety <br />Commission to participate in the 2025 FG 5539-Region 10 Walker Roller Safety Grant. <br /> <br /> <br />City Council Agenda Item Cover Sheet
