Ev Err
TO: See Distribution below SEPA#: 17-004
FROM: Public Services Division
DATE: 3/7/2017
SUBJECT: PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR TENTATIVE APPROVAL OF:
140 Unit Apartment Building
John Jimerson, Planning Department
The Public Works Department is currently reviewing the subject project located at:
3214 Broadway
• Please respond by the date below, even if your response is "no comment."
• If further site information is necessary, please contact the reviewer noted below.
• Your comments are to be made on this sheet or referenced on a separate attached sheet. Any
comment written on the proposal itself will not be recognized.
Please return your comments to Benyam Stephanos by March 20'2017
COMMENTS:
As you know, Water Q - Broadway just completed a new 12" water main along the west side of
Broadway that is 15' east of the existing west curb line. This project did not provide any water service
stubs as we didn't have any development plans to go by at the time. There will be a timing issue for
making the water service connection to this building as the patch was done during cold weather, Narci
has agreed to include grinding and overlaying the lane in which the patch is located. This most likely
could occur before this building turns a shovel of dirt. Digging up a new overlay won't look good. Since
City forces make connections to existing mains, it might be possible to get that done in the street before
the overlay however, we'd need some direction from the developer.
DISTRIBUTION:
( x ) Public Services (file copy) REVIEWEDRm+t
( x ) Michael Brick, Traffic
( x ) Mike Palacios,Real Property By Richard Hefti, PE at 9:55 am, Mar 08, 2017
( x ) Tony Lee,Building Official
( x ) Paul McKee, Permit Services Manager
( x ) Tom Hingson, Transit and Transportation
( x ) Dave Voigt, Sewer
( x ) Richard Hefti, Water
( x ) Arnie Roshak
( x ) Heather Magnuson
( x ) Dave Davis
SepaRev4/99
