Although clean-up measures were implemented by Weyerhaeuser and <br />approved by the Department of Ecology, some contamination remains and protocols are in place for how the <br />soils on the site are to be handled during development. Since development as a business park, portions of <br />the site have been filled by the Port as a means to promote drainage, raise the site above the 100-year <br />floodplain, and cap the contaminated soils. <br />9j.
