City of Everett Human Needs Grant
January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016
Camp Fire Snohomish County
Mega Club
EXHIBIT A: Program Summary
Camp Fire provides Mega Club for children ages 5 - 14 in subsidized housing centers and
at the Domestic Violence Center, where they will be provided health and safety
education, self-reliance courses, be mentored by caring adults and learn to develop
critical thinking strategies for healthy lifestyles. While the youth participate in activities
in a fun environment, they will build self esteem, self worth, and social skills including
conflict resolution that will lead to success in school and prevent violence and
delinquent behaviors. Children learn best while they work through structured, social
activities embedded with goals and objectives. At Camp Fire, our curriculum is designed
for experiential learning and developing healthy lifelong habits.
