May 18, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., May 18, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br /> Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll call, it <br /> was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Murphy, Franklin, Bader, and Tuohy were present. Council Members <br /> Moore and Stonecipher were excused. <br /> Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 11, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no report. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts provided an update on the development to <br /> create a memorandum of understanding for the Sound Transit 3 (ST3) <br /> package from the City, City of Lynnwood, and Snohomish County. <br /> Council Member Tuohy gave a liaison report on her attendance at the <br /> Library Board meeting held this Tuesday. She stated the Board gave an <br /> update on fundraising and planning for the mural restoration project. She <br /> noted the Summer Reading Program and efforts to coordinate with Everett <br /> School District this year. <br /> Council Member Franklin provided an update on the Community Streets <br /> Initiative meeting on Tuesday. She shared that the team is working on <br /> outreach, connecting to resources, and encouraging citizens to go to the <br /> City's website for questions regarding low-barrier housing, as well as <br /> reviewing the Housing First Forums. <br /> 162 <br />
