A ledger/angle would be installed on both sides of the
cut so this piece of countertop can be re-installed. To secure this countertop piece in place, two sash locks(lock
&keeper)would be install below the surface. This would allow the countertop to be removed and re-installed
in the future without the use of tools, while still providing the needed roll-up lowered work surface for these
accessible units.
If there are any questions about the described scheme, please feel free to call. Otherwise, if the solution is
acceptable,please respond to this e-mail.
Thanks,
andrew phillips
associate architect
SMR Architects 911 Western Avenue• Suite 200•Seattle•WA 98104
PH Direct:206.3162682• PH Main: 206.623.1104•FX:206.623.5285
1 33
