2.0 STUDY PURPOSE <br />Wetland Resources, Inc. has prepared this Biological Evaluation (BE) on behalf of the applicant <br />to facilitate review of the proposed action as required by Section 7(c) of the Endangered Species <br />Act (ESA). This BE has been prepared to facilitate coordination between the United States Army <br />Corps of Engineers (USACE), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration National <br />Marine Fisheries Division (NOAA Fisheries), and United States Fish and Wildlife Service <br />(USFWS). NOAA Fisheries and the USFWS are jointly referred to as the Services within this <br />assessment. Information provided by NOAA Fisheries (2005) and USFWS (2010) (Appendix B, <br />ESA Species and EFH Information) indicate that the project will occur within the range of the <br />following species listed in Table 1. <br />Table 2.
