Select an available date. 7. Click Add Inspection. 8. Click Submit. 9. Click Accept from the pop-up window. Once your permit extension has been granted, work can continue. Proper inspections, including final inspection, shall be requested. If no action is taken by the expiration date listed above, the permit record will be closed without final inspection approval and any work performed will be considered unpermitted work. Per Sections 105.5 of the International Building Code and R105.5 of the International Residential Code state that permits become invalid if the work is not commenced or is suspended or abandoned for more than 180 days. After the permit has expired, work under the permit will no longer be authorized unless extension is granted via inspection or permit extension request. Continuing work after the permit is closed will require a new permit application and permit fees due to inspect the work not finaled under the original permit.
