I would like to see plans before I give any input. But you are correct in that I would not like a
CMP detention pipe and would rather a PVC/Sanitite version. Thanks
From: Jane Zimmerman
Sent: Monday, July 25, 2016 7:39 AM
To: Brian Doolan
Subject: RE: Seaway Transit
Hi Brian—
There will be more than 5,000 square feet of additional impervious area created in the right-of-way as part of this
project. The pavement on both Seaway Blvd and 75th St SW has to be expanded to accommodate bus stops on Seaway
Blvd and busses turning into the transit center from 75th. No runoff from the CT parcel will enter the treatment and
detention system for the "public" runoff from the right-of-way improvements, only right-of-way runoff.
My first suggestion was that they bring the right-of-way runoff into their private, on-site facilities to treat and detain it,
and sign an agreement to hold the City harmless for any spills, etc., in the ROW that might impact their system, but their .
doing so isn't feasible from either a technical standpoint (the low spot in the ROW is too low to get the public runoff into
the site)or a political standpoint(CT simply won't sign such an agreement). Therefore, they are planning separate
stormwater treatment and detention systems, one system for the on-site runoff, and one system for the public runoff.
There are no plans to review at this time; Perteet is CT's design firm for the project and they still haven't submitted a
SEPA application for the project. Technically, all we've had at this point is a pre-application meeting for the project,
nothing more.
Thanks,
Jane
3
