40 <br /> 41 <br /> The Chief of the Fire department shall have authority <br /> and it shall be his duty to revoke the license issued to any per- <br /> son, firm or corporation for conducting or maintaining picture <br /> machine exhibitions, when he shall be satisfied that such licensee <br /> has violated any of the provisions of this ordinance. provided , <br /> however, before revoking such license opportunity shall be given <br /> such licensee to appear before said Chief of the Fire Department <br /> and show, if possible , cause why the same should not be revoked. <br /> PRESENT THEATRES. <br /> Sec. 8: In the case of any moving-picture theatre , the <br /> construction of which was completed prior to January 1st 1919, and <br /> in which is situated an operating room or booth differing in con- <br /> struction from the specifications set forth in these Regulations, <br /> said operating room or booth on being approved by the Chief of the <br /> Fire Department as being of a reasonably safe fire-proof construction <br /> , shall so long as such approval be not cancelled or withdrawn, be <br /> deemed a sufficient compliance with these Regulations so far as <br /> the same relate to the construction thereof. <br /> The requirements herein named so far as installation <br /> of moving picture device and the construction and location of <br /> booth are concerned, shall apply to theatres, churches, schools <br /> and public halls. <br /> OPERATORSLICENSE. <br /> actual <br /> Sec. 9: Every person, prior to engaging in theAoperation of <br /> a moving-picture machine, or electrical equipment for the display <br /> of moving pictures, shall appear in person at the office of the <br /> Chief of the Fire Department and shall there register his name and <br /> residence and the place where he proposes to operate sudhelectrical <br /> equipment or machine and shall make affidavit that such name, <br /> residence and place of such operation are correctly stated.
