value, and adapted to any lawful use, such judge shall, as a part of <br /> the order and judgment direct that said articles other than intoxicating <br /> liquors shall be sold by the officer having them in custody, and the <br /> proceeds of such sale shall be paid into the City Treasury of the City <br /> of Everett. <br /> Section 12: It shall be unlawful for any person to have in his <br /> possession or upon his person, any intoxicating liquor whatsoever, pro- <br /> vided, however, that this section shall not apply to any registered <br /> pharmacist or persons having or keeping alcohol as provided by law, and <br /> provided further, twat the above provisions of this section shall not <br /> apply to any ordained clergyman, priest or rabbi actually engaged in the <br /> ministering to a religious congregation in this City, in so far as the <br /> said clergyman, priest or rabbi is keeping intoxicating liquors for the <br /> purpose of administrating the same for sacramental purposes; and pro- <br /> viding, further, that in any prosecution under this ordinance the pos- <br /> session of any quantity of intoxicating liquors shall be prima facie <br /> evidence that said liquors were kept unlawfully, <br /> Section 13: It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a <br /> common carrier to transport or carry within or bring into the City of <br /> Everett, any intoxicating liquors whatsoever. <br /> Section 14: It shall be unlawful for any person to make a false <br /> statement to a physician, or pharmacist, for the purpose of obtaining <br /> intoxicating liquor or alcohol, or to any railroad express, or trans- <br /> portation company, or any person engaged in the business of transporting <br /> goods, wares and merchandise for the purpose of obtaining shipment, trans- <br /> portation or delivery of any intoxicating liquor. <br /> Section 15: Ordinance Numbers 1695, 1723 and 1834 of the City of <br /> Everett are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 16:. Any person convicted of any violation of this ordin- <br /> ance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not exceeding One <br /> Hundred ($100.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a <br /> period of not exceeding Thirty (30 ) Days or by both such fine and im- <br /> prisonment. <br />
