r <br /> 1 <br /> ' GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING STUDY <br /> PROPOSED SOUNDVIEW <br /> TECHNOLOGY CENTER <br /> 36TH AVENUE WEST <br /> EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br /> ES-4011.03 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> General <br /> This geotechnical engineering study was prepared for the proposed light industrial development <br /> to be constructed at the north end of 36"' Avenue West in Everett, Washington (See Vicinity <br /> Map — Plate 1). The purpose of this study was to provide geotechnical recommendations for <br /> the proposed development. Our scope of services for completing this geotechnical engineering <br /> study included the following: <br /> • Characterization of the soil and groundwater conditions throughout the development <br /> areas of the site based on conditions encountered at boring and test pit locations; <br /> • Review of current plans with respect to the planned site layout and grading activities; <br /> • Preparation of this geotechnical engineering study with recommendations for building <br /> foundations, earthwork, retaining wall design parameters, pavements, and other <br /> pertinent geotechnical recommendations. <br /> The following documents were reviewed as part of the preparation of this geotechnical <br /> engineering study: <br /> i • Associated Earth Sciences, Inc., Geotechnical Report, dated March 31, 2000; <br /> • Earth Solutions NW, LLC, Stability Assessment, ES-4011, dated October 6, 2015; <br /> • Preliminary Site Plan provided by the client, undated; <br /> • City of Everett Municipal Code, Chapter 37 (Critical Areas); <br /> • City of Everett Critical Area Maps; <br /> • Coastal Zone Atlas of Washington (Snohomish County), Volume 5, dated 1979; <br /> • Online Web Soil Survey (WSS) resource, maintained by the Natural Resources <br /> Conservation Service under the United States Department of Agriculture, and; <br /> • The Geologic Map of the Mukilteo Quadrangle, Washington, prepared by James P. <br /> Minard, 1982. <br /> I <br />
