Benyam Stephanos
From: Arnie Roshak
Sent: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 9:24 AM
To: Trevor Louviere
Cc: Kelsey Heyd; Benyam Stephanos
Subject: RE: Brien Ford Stormwater Permit Question
Trevor,
See my responses in red below.
-Arnie
From: Trevor Louviere [mailto:tlouviere@aesgeo.com]
Sent: Monday, June 12, 2017 1:26 PM
To: Arnie Roshak
Cc: Kelsey Heyd
Subject: Brien Ford Stormwater Permit Question
Arnie,
I have begun preparation of the stormwater documentation for the permits. The questions are as follows:
1. Under minimum requirement#1 when looking at threshold discharge areas;the site is already developed and
flow volumes and directions will be unchanged. Do I take the current catch basins on site to be the "natural"
discharge locations, as this is an already developed site? The "natural" discharge location would be the existing
conveyance system that the site currently discharges to.
2. Under minimum requirement#3 pertaining to source control: Is Figure 1.1 meant to be used in relation to
construction activates or the final product? As far as the construction phase of this project only A5.1 for
Demolition of buildings should apply. More would apply if I had to include all activities on site.Just looking for
clarification here since some of the points appear to be activities of a finished development. Minimum
requirement#3 would apply to the new work rather than entire site, and is intended to apply to permanent
activities, however, one of those activities listed under MR#3 is building demolition, so A5.1 will apply.
Construction is covered by MR#2,which includes element#9: Control Pollutants.
Thank you,
Trevor W.
