The applicant is proposing to incorporate backlit cabinet fascia signs into their overall sign design for the property. These types of signs are being proposed on the freestanding monument signs and the proposed wall signs. 2) EMC 19.36.110 requires that signs be located on the premises of the business being advertised. The applicant is proposing a second monument sign along their Evergreen Way frontage for the sole purpose of supplying an off-premises sign for the motel located behind the subject property. 3) EMC 19.31B.090.C.3. restricts the number of freestanding monument signs to one (1)per property frontage. The applicant is proposing two (2) freestanding monument signs, one for the businesses located on the subject property and a second for the motel located behind the subject property. The Comprehensive Sign Design Application (REVII18-024) and criteria is able to address the off-premises signage whereas the Variance Application(VAR18-005) criteria is to address the second monument sign and the backlit cabinet fascia design.
