• Chapter 4 of the City's Design and Construction Standards and Specifications for
Development manual contains the City's stormwater Standards.
• The project will be required to evaluate stormwater in accordance with the Minimum
Requirements that this project triggers by following the Flow Charts for Determining
Minimum Requirements.
10. Use BMPs to prevent contaminated water from entering the storm drains on site that
connect to city sewer(combined system). This might include a temporary plug on the drain
line if necessary.
11. Any damage to the sidewalk/public right-of-way caused by work associated with this
project shall be repaired/replaced in accordance with current City of Everett Standards and
per the City Public Works Inspector. Applicant shall take photos/videos of sidewalk
conditions before any work occurs.
12. If the work requires discharge to City sewer directly or via the onsite storm drains, a
Discharge Authorization from PW Maintenance will be required.
Department of Ecology, Hazardous Waste and Toxic Reduction—Kyle Masters—425.649.7055
1. All waste streams generated as a result of your project must be properly designated (see
WAC 173-303-070). This process will determine whether waste must be managed as
dangerous waste. Gas station decommissioning activities may generate materials that
designate as hazardous or dangerous waste, including but not limited to: gasoline
contaminated fuel filters, hoses, nozzles, spill clean-up debris, contaminated soil, and tank
sludge.
2. In Washington, we use the term "dangerous waste" while the federal rules use the term
"hazardous waste." Washington's Dangerous Waste Regulations are based on the federal
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); however, dangerous waste includes more
wastes than the federal definition. Please visit Ecology's website to find information on
waste designation, generator status requirements, dangerous waste annual reporting, and
additional information about the Dangerous Waste Regulations and how they might pertain
to activities conducted on your site.
