April 2, 2025 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., April 2, 2025, by <br />Vice President Zarlingo. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin, and Council Members Zarlingo, Fosse, Bader, <br />Rhyne, Vogeli, Tuohy, and President Schwab were present. <br />Council Member Rhyne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the March 26, 2025 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin discussed the State of the City, including the new Directive on Youth Safety. She <br />attended the ground-breaking for the new Jackson Elementary School and offered her <br />condolences for the loss of local business owner Barry Boyle, owner of The Irishmen. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The Council received six (6) written comments and the following member of the public spoke: <br />Jose Villalaz. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Several council members thanked the public commenter and neighbors who submitted emails. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse asked Administration to provide all emails from the public commenter <br />and residents regarding abandoned and boarded-up homes surrounding Andy’s Place. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Everett Police Department Annual Awards Ceremony. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne met with Council Member Vogeli as co-chairs of the Parks and Quality of <br />Life Committee and thanked Mayor Franklin for the State of the City. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli attended the Transportation Advisory Committee and the Parks and Tree <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy attended the Community Health and Safety Committee meeting.
