Ted de Budden
From:
Ted de Budden
Sent:
Monday, May 01, 2017 3:50 PM
To:
Jim Venturo
Cc:
Jo Geissler -Nelson; Leroy McNulty, Meg Haley; Tony Lee
Subject:
RE: 220 Olympic Blvd
Jim,
We followed up on this concern today. Construction work is occurring there without required permits and approvals in
at least two tenant spaces.
I posted a stop work order on one of the storefront doors.
The owner of the building happened to be there during the investigation (Mr. Prashanth @ 425-351-1767). He allowed
access to a couple of the spaces and we photographed some of the activity.
One of my observations and concerns here is that at least one of the spaces appeared to lack fire sprinklers, or perhaps a
t-bar ceiling has been installed beneath the existing sprinkler heads. This should be followed up.
We plan to ask for a floor plan of the entire building to get a better picture of what has been actually happening here.
We will pursue the applicable permits and approvals for the current construction activity.
Regards
Ted M.de Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
From: Jim Venturo
Sent: Tuesday, April 25, 2017 11:38 AM
To: Ted de Budden
Cc: Kevin Fagerstrom
Subject: FW: 220 Olympic Blvd
Do you guys have anything on this ?
From: Jo Geissler -Nelson
Sent: Tuesday, April 25, 2017 11:35 AM
To: Jim Venturo
Subject: 220 Olympic Blvd
Jim,
I was out at 220 Olympic Blvd today to talk to the Head -Start (located at the south end of the building). I noticed that
the north end of the building had construction going on. When I got back to the office, I looked that address up in track -
it. There did not seem to be an active permit for that address. Maybe a different address? Or no permit?
Jo Nelson
Inspector, Everett Fire Department
2930 Wetmore AVE STE 7A
Everett, WA 98201
