fire-extinguishing equipment, such as dirt, sand, water barrel, garden hose or <br /> water truck, shall be available for immediate utilization. A fire shall not be <br /> considered extinguished unless one can handle the ashes without protection. <br /> B. Subsection 311.2.2 of the IFC, entitled "Fire protection" is hereby deleted and the <br /> following inserted in its place: <br /> 311.2.2 Fire protection. Fire alarm (including monitoring), sprinkler, and <br /> standpipe systems shall be maintained in an operable condition at all times. No <br /> exceptions are allowed. <br /> C. Subsection 311.5 of the IFC, entitled"Placards" is hereby amended by the addition of <br /> the following new subsection 311.5.6: <br /> 311.5.6 Unlawful to remove or deface. It shall be unlawful for any person to <br /> remove or deface any placard applied pursuant to this section until the <br /> required repairs, demolition or removal have been completed and a certificate <br /> of occupancy issued pursuant to the provisions of the Everett Building Code. <br /> Section 4: Section 6 of Ordinance No. 2985-07 (EMC 16.03.060), which reads as <br /> follows: <br /> AMENDMENTS TO THE IFC CHAPTER 5, FIRE SERVICE FEATURES <br /> A.
