March 19, 2014 <br /> Dave Koenig, Planning Department, provided a brief overview of the plan <br /> changes proposed as a result of discussions that occurred at the City <br /> Council briefing on March 5, 2014. <br /> As a follow up to his question from the City Council meeting on March 5, <br /> 2014, Council Member Gipson inquired about the mechanical standards <br /> outlined in Attachment H relating to the placement of solar panels. <br /> Nick Abdelnour, Polygon Northwest, thanked the City Council, Mayor, <br /> Planning Commission, public, and staff and presented site plan changes <br /> proposed for the Riverfront properties. Mr. Abdelnour also clarified that <br /> solar panels will be allowed on this project pending approval by an <br /> architectural review committee. <br /> Council Member Roberts commented on townhouse products selected for <br /> the Simpson Site. Mr. Abdelnour responded that the project design was <br /> based on neighborhood demographics. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding trail and river access and truck activity. <br /> Council President Moore invited public comment. <br /> Megan Dunn, on behalf of Lowell Neighborhood Association, commented <br /> on the subject of public input relating to density. <br /> City Attorney Iles addressed Ms. Dunn's comments. <br /> Bob Jackson, Everett, commented on the project design and density. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson, seconded by Council Member <br /> Murphy, to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 68 <br />
