Kelsey Heyd
From: Kelsey Heyd
Sent: Friday, February 11, 2022 4:54 PM
To: ckang@waremalcomb.corn; kate@waremalcomb.com
Subject: B2202-017 - 1000 SE Everett Mall Way - Planning Corrections
Good Afternoon,
Thank you for submitting a construction permit for the proposed work at 1000 SE Everett Mall Way, permit B2202-017.
am reviewing the permit for Planning. Please note the following comments are not a thorough plan check review and
they only address larger zoning compliance points and the submittal checklist. Additional comments may also be
provided by other departmental reviewers for your application; please utilize the Online Permitting Portal to check on
the status of other reviewers.
Planning cannot further review and/or approve your request until the following revisions has been addressed:
Site Plan. A site plan was included with the application noting it as "for reference only." However, the site plan
includes an enlarged portion of the site indicated to be newly fenced parking and the description of work on the
permit application notes this as an exterior scope. The site plan also includes notations regarding a proposed 8'
high fence featuring barbed wire to surround this parking area. This site is zoned MU and subject to the fencing
regulations of EMC 19.40. As proposed, the fencing indicated on the site plan does not meet the code provisions
of EMC 19.40 and would need to be revised. If fencing is to still be proposed as part of this permit request
moving forward, please review and revise the proposed fencing accordingly and include more detailed
information for staff to assess conformance i.e. setbacks, materials, height, etc. that demonstrates compliance
with the MU regulations. Alternatively if fencing is to be removed as part of the scope of work on this TI permit
please advise accordingly so staff can update our records.
Re -submittal instructions are outlined here; please submit at minimum 2 copies of any revised documents/plans. The
Unified Development Code is available online, here: httos://everett.municipal.codes/EMC/19.
These comments are only related to the land use code and do not account for all possible requirements from other
departments. For general permit questions, please contact Permit Services at PermitServices everettwa.gov or
425.257.8810. General Planning questions can be directed to the Planner On Duty at 425.257.8731 or
Planning(@everettwa.gov. In the meantime this permit application is on hold for further Planning review until the
requested revisions have been received demonstrating compliance with the code and submittal checklists. Additional
comments or corrections may be required upon review of the requested information.
Best,
— Kelsey Heyd
- Associate Planner I Community, Planning & Economic Development
425.257.8731 1 3200 Cedar Street 2"d Fl., Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
Note: Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to
the Public Records Act.
